The
primary target that motivated his creation is to look for solutions and alternatives
that improve the perspective of the citrus activity in the Argentine Republic.
It works in fomenting and coordinating the
efforts of the partners in the different areas,
to maintain a dynamic exchange of information
and to support all initiative to the
benefit of the industry.
At general level, coordinates the defense of
the interests and rights of the citrus growers
against the public powers and workers representative
organizations. |
PARTNERS
From
his beginning this Organization groups
producers, exporters and their representative
regional organizations, related by many ways to the activities of the
industry (production,
packing, conservation, internal and external
commercialization and industrialization), into provinces
or national level.
At the present time the voluntary contribution
of companies and organizations of the different
producing regions maintain FEDERCITRUS,
and their associate belong to the Argentine
provinces of Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Entre
Rios, Salta, Jujuy, Misiones, Tucumán and
Formosa.

CITRUS INDUSTRY
The
associate to FEDERCITRUS export 95% of
the fresh citric fruits from the Argentine
Republic and industrialize most of the
production with that destiny. The Argentine
citrus industry exports more than U$S 338 million
per year, reaching USD 1000
annual million in currencies with the rest of
Fruit Industry.
Only the culture, harvests, packing and
commercialization of citruses uses 100,000
people in regional economies. We have five times
this number, i f we group the hole Fruit
economy. |
